NDIS

The National Disability Insurance Scheme

What is the NDIS?

The NDIS provides funding to eligible people with disability to gain more time with family and friends, greater independence, access to new skills, jobs, or volunteering in their community, and an improved quality of life.

The NDIS also connects anyone with disability to services in their community.

This includes connections to doctors, community groups, sporting clubs, support groups, libraries and schools, as well as providing information about what support is provided by each state and territory government.

How does the NDIS operate?

Your freedom, control, and independence will increase courtesy to the NDIS. Your current funding for disability services is replaced by NDIS funding packages.

Together, you and the NDIS come up with a funding plan that is granted for the services you require. You can choose who will offer you the services you require. You have more control over what matters most to you in life and how you will be supported.

You will participate in an NDIS planning meeting to develop a strategy based on your unique needs and goals. You will receive the funding directly to be used for the services you require from any authorised service provider.

A lot of change might be confusing, if you need help understanding the NDIS Please contact us today, or send us an enquiry.

A support package from the NDIS is available if you:

  • reside in a location where the NDIS is accessible
